On this thread, post links to pages written by those who are so drunk with religion that they have lost all grip on reality - if they had any in the first place. Part one of our ridiculously misinformed pages is here: soldierofthelord.4t.com/custom4.html

If you read the rest of the website hes a pretty screwed up guy and has only been a christian for 6 years, before that he was apperantly a professional burgler.
This is exactly the type of relgious extremism i hate. This and people killing themselves and others for their religion despite most religions condoning violence and murder.
Some of the "better" quotes i found:
"A Fallen Angel..we know them as Aliens(Aliens are really the Angels lead by Satan who rebelled against God"
"A Clone of Jesus Christ using DNA from ancient holy relics such as the Turin Shroud(now acknowledged to NOT be fake), or some other holy relic with Christ's DNA"
"In the same way as they can scan for your Retina charachteristics that are stored on the mainframe if they havent got your Digital pic that is as is shown below on the Antichrist empire Drivers licence of the EU"
"Hitler was 'in ya face evil' and didnt care who knew where-as this European Union is PURE EVIL "
Fantastic, im hoping its a joke but you never know

Quite interesting to see some of the ads that come up at the top of this thread. I'm actually thinking that the Muslim book, which is *supposed* to be a myth busting one, is being triggered off by Chris' post about people killing themselves for religion. That is... shocking. Not because there are no Islamic 'martyrs', but because someone trying to flog a book about a belief system they're trying to defend has used something that negative as a code word thingie......
I think it's in Name of the Rose that one of the monks says 'fear prophets and those prepared to die for the truth, for they make others die with them and for them, at times instead of them'.

Oh. My. Fucking. God.
Now they're ripping off Sinister Dexter, by the looks of things.
And that wasn't very good to start with...

its the old man!
i feel its neccesary to point out that that article is a joke, and isnt a pro-christian or anti-metal thing at all.
oh, from bens livejournal:
"In less serious news, last night I went out to my old university's Rock Society end-of-year party and ended up doing the Sonata Arctica Full Moon Dance onstage with 5 or 6 others. Much hilarity ensued and we got a modest round of applause. My performing career starts (and probably ends) here."

See how these things can snowball? Start down such a precarious path and before you know it, you're a religious zealot renouncing your country and listening to Pantera reverb off the walls of bin Laden's latest cave....
.........Even though it's a joke, this IS the quote of the century.

It's a wind-up.
That said, I'd like to see some hardcore christians use this as an excuse:
Communion wine's alcoholic, isn't it? It's a good job (for the loonies) that there isn't an 11th commandment against hyposcrisy...

It's a very old joke but the wording has been changed slightly. Still a great laugh though. This, on the other hand, isn't: www.focus.org.uk/pullman.htmWhat's really funny is that they seem to be acting as if Pullman has come up with these ideas alone, like some dark force of ultimate evil. They've obviously never heard of William Blake or his perspective on Milton (a perspective I find more or less the only available conclusion, btw). Ironically they quote the 'devil's party' phrase without seeming to be aware of its correct historical meaning... Check out the man's comments on CS Lewis! Elsewhere on the site, as Christians are wont to do when someone's beliefs oppose their own, they compare Pullman to a Nazi. While saying he is liberal. And they quote the Daily Mail / Sieg Heil at the same time..... I don't think they know what that signifies in this country..... My folks read me Narnia when I was a kid. I didn't need to be told it was racist and sexist - when you're a tomboy and you don't come from an all-white family, these things tend to spring out slightly.
