We've had Viking Metal (Thyrfing, Enslaved, etc.) We've had Tolkien metal (Rakoth and a healthy load of Blak Metel bands). We've had Wlliam Blake metal (Bruce's Chemical Wedding, and Ulver's Marriage of Heaven and Hell). We've even had Pirate metal, courtesy of Running Wild. And Nile's Egyptian metal.
But what about these? Have these ever been put into practice?
Cowboys & Indians metal Roman metal, complete with lyrics written entirely in Latin... Highwayman metal Shakespeare metal Ancient Greek metal Dickens metal American civil war metal Aztec metal (though I think this has been done...) Aboriginal metal Samaurai / martial arts / Bruce Lee metal Robin Hood metal Voodoo metal Any bands from Alaska or Greenland?!

...plus Manowar's American trilogy, or whatever they called it.
What I'm really looking for, though, is bands who have based their entire careers - or at the very least, one album - round the themes above.
There *has* to be an album called "Stand And Deliver" out there somewhere.

WW II battle metal.
I'd call the band JewSlayer SS.

I think JewSlayer SS is already a side project containing various members of Absurd, Sunwheel and Thor's Hammer, with Varg screeching over the top of it.
Besides, there'll be plenty of bands that have done WWI and WWII themed albums. And the vast majority of these will be on the Allied side.
I would say "Gulf War Metal", but I think Phil Anselmo is doing his best to wrap up that corner at the moment...
