I've got an idea...
Play Rick 2 as well.
With a bit of luck I'm going to do a hefty update on the Rick site over the weekend now that I've finally got some time to do it...

pc, natch... well it was an at
i had it on 5ΒΌ", but i think it got infected with the flip virus, so i could only play it on the old amstrad (which the virus couldnt infect, due to having no boot sector and a cga monitor)

dammit i've lost the ability to do the snake pit section... and i found your animation, loaded it up into imageready which promptly taxed 1gig of my swapfile then crashed. im beginning to think it was luck the first time round.

What are you dribbling about? FLC animations can be run in Quicktime. Try that. I think there may be more tactics to the spike pit than just timing - I think it involves jumping as far towards the edge of the first floating platform as possible with your first jump, from the very edge of the ledge you start off on. If that makes any sense. That way the spear has more time behind you so you're further forward when it has to start again, by which time you're not only into your second jump but also far enough forward to stop the spear firing again. Did that make any sense at all?
